Hiding from the invisible enemy #Distraction At A Global Level

The year that was, 2020 has been an unprecedented year. The impact of COVID-19 has changed the way we live, connect with others and do business. We have missed out on spending quality time with those we love, at the office and or visiting our favourite places. Hopefully, the year ahead will be different even though, we need to adjust to the new normal.

I am still trying to wrap my head around the virus. One thing for sure, this virus has caused a lot of disruptions and uncertainty globally. The countries around the world are already faced with higher unemployment, small businesses and even large companies are struggling.  How are we going to recover, I am particularly concerned about the African countries. I encourage my fellow entrepreneurs out there to keep working on their dreams and let us build our communities and countries.

As the world is changing rapidly, and we need to keep up with it, anything from digital, e-commerce or online classes you name it. Let us continue to better ourselves, I hope you have learnt at least one or two skills during the lockdown.

Personally, the lockdown has allowed me to reflect on life. Explore technology more, choose what I want to spend my energy on, read and most importantly just to be still and reflect.

We will get through this crisis. This is not the time to panic but to restructure your life and look for opportunities that are out there. Make the best of the situation.  We will overcome the pandemic if we act coherently and collectively by following protocols that are in line with the new normal, the simple guide by wearing a mask and washing of hands.

I wish you all a happy and healthy festive season, May 2021 be a Graceful Year.
